Internet Spyware Tips
Tips for keeping control of your PC.
1. Install some
adware and malware protection software,

AdAware is protection for adware and some malware.

Spybot
- Search and Destroy can pick up items that the other adware
removers can sometimes miss, and is a worth while install.
2. Install an
Anti-Virus
software. Anti-virus software can remove most Trojans that can often accompany
spyware/adware, as long as it is updated regularly.

Firewall protection will cover nasty Trojans which could allow access
to your PC. Windows XP comes with basic protection, but a good secondary
firewall with give added protect. Plenty of
free products are available,
although paid versions do have extra features.
5. Clear Cache and Temp Files
of your internet browser regularly.
6. Make sure you
have SP2 installed on your Windows XP PC and make sure to regularly update
it.
7. Do not download
from or visit suspicious websites.
